Sevyal Blanc (pronounced ‘say-VALL- blanc’) is a French-American hybrid variety, known for its ability to make high quality white wines in harsh climates.  Grown in Canada, England, and the upper east coast of the United States, Seyval has found a surprising home in Oklahoma.  Our winters can be very cold and the summers very hot, but Seyval thrives here.  In a typical year, Seyval harvest occurs in early August; one of the first  varieties to ripen.  The resulting wines flavors can be described as midway between a Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
